1937 - Freddy Fender was born.
1944 - Roger Ball (Average White Band) was born.
1958 - Selwyn Brown (Steel Pulse) was born.
1974 - Stefan Lessard (Dave Matthews Band) was born.
1975 - The Rolling Stones became the first rock band to receive royalties for sales of their records in Russia.
1976 - Live performances from Blondie, Talking Heads and others were made at GBGB's and later featured on the album Live At CBGB'S.
1990 - Stiv Bators (Dead Boys) was killed after being hit by a car.
1993 - Kurt Cobain was arrested after a dispute at his home in Seattle concerning his collection of firearms.
