Sonic Youth go backwards?

It's kinda strange to see a band that has always been forward thinking, trying to push musical barriers away and do things in a new way, looking back at their past and spending a lot of time embellishing their own history. Daydream Nation is nearly 20 years old and in my All Time Top 20 and apparently many others too. The band have been asked to perform the entire double album at several festivals this summer including the Pitchfork / All Tomorrows Parties event this July in Chicago. Daydream was also re-issued this week, remastered and with a full cd of all the tracks LIVE, which is amazing.
