"My 3 Songs" for Thursday

Posted at 2:02 PM on May 24, 2007 by Steve Seel (1 Comments)

Since it's Minnesota Public Radio Day in Rochester today, we would have been remiss if we hadn't played a set from a Rochester listener (Rochesterian?). Jonathan Gay says, "I've recently discovered these bands, and when I heard them, they grabbed me and I just can't seem to let go. Especially The Thrills -- I think they're great."

1) The Thrills, "Whatever Happened to Corey Haim?"
2) Bell X-1, "Eve, The Apple of My Eye"
3) The Perishers, "Trouble Sleeping"

As for Bell X-1 -- it's yet another band who's name makes me slap my head and go, "Damn, I wish I'd thought of that."
