"My 3 Songs" for Monday

Posted at 1:41 PM on May 14, 2007 by Steve Seel (46 Comments)

Mike Kelly of Mpls liked how these tunes went together, "because they all have extended guitar jams that sound acid-trip induced."

1) Robert Pollard, "Conqueror of the Moon"
2) Built to Spill, "Goin' Against Your Mind"
3) Jimi Hendrix, "Bold As Love"

Far be it from me to speculate on where any musician's inspirations come from, chemical or otherwise (and legal or otherwise). I have a feeling, however, that Pollard's fuel is mostly of the brewed variety.
