No tattoos for me. The ear piercings were painful enough! Besides, I can't think of a design that I'm certain I will still like in 25 years.

Remember back (I'm talking early 80s here) when multiple ear piercings were considered avant garde and slightly shocking? I remember my mother not being terribly happy when I was in college and got 2 additional piercings in one ear. Seems she didn't much care for the asymmetric look ;-)

It all seems so durned quaint when compared with the forms of body modification routinely practiced today. It makes me wonder how much further they can go. Could there be a point at which it has to stop, there just isn't another envelope to push?
