Bands use kittens to market music

Posted at 4:21 PM on April 18, 2007 by Melanie Walker (5 Comments)

Although I hate to admit it, I too surf You tube from time to time. It seems to me in my You tubing adventures that I'm bumping into more and more music videos with kittens as the reoccurring theme. Could it be that independent bands are using kittens as a ploy to market their new music? If so it's genius.

Bjork "It's Oh So Quiet"

Spoon "Sister Jack"

LCD Soundsystem "New York, I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down"

Fatboy Slim's cover of "The Joker"

Psapp - "Side Dish"

Arctic Monkeys "Comedy Capers"

The White Stripes "Fell In Love With A Girl"

The Postal Service "Brand New Colony"

Jay Dee aka JDilla "Wild"

Although this may not be the deepest post you've read all day, it's most definitely the cutest....

Durnitall! I was gonna bring up that "We Are Scientists" album, but Mac beat me to it.

Mary played a nice "Cat" set last week, it reminded me that I have to get around to making a mix CD of my favorite cat songs, starting with Lou Barlow's "Ballad of Daykitty".
