Your Worst Monday Mistake

Posted at 8:49 AM on April 23, 2007 by Dale Connelly

Pity the poor researcher who came up with this reason for visiting Minneapolis for an article about "Underrated Cities" on MSNBC: "The city's revitalization has spread to banks of the Mississippi, where the booming Mill District has shops, restaurants, and boutique hotels catering to style-savvy travelers, many of whom come for the tax-free shopping."
Pity anyone who makes the trip to Minnesota to save a few bucks on a handbag!
But we all make mistakes, right? I've made too many factual errors to list here, and even mispronounced my own name once. What's your worst?

"My 3 Songs" for Monday, April 23rd

Posted at 1:45 PM on April 23, 2007 by Steve Seel

I don't know about you, but today's set pretty much stopped me in my tracks. Andrew John of Mpls desribed his chosen tunes simply as "thoughtful pieces on love and death." Indeed.

1) Sufjan Stevens, "Casimir Pulaski Day"
2) Ben Folds, "Carrying Cathy"
3) Tom Waits, "Take It With Me"

Radio Free Current

Posted at 2:04 PM on April 23, 2007 by Michael Wells (1 Comments)

Got any plans for May 1? Want some? We've put our music catalog online (16,000+ tracks) in preparation for Radio Free Current. It's going to be an entire day programmed by you. You can check out the music catalog, make your requests, create a three-song set, add a special note or dedication to your tracks - basically it's all going to be up to you. We'll also be playing station IDs recorded by you (see some examples). You've recorded your ID, right? C'mon! You've only got a week left.

Full disclosure: This whole thing really scares the hell out of me. If it doesn't work out, I'll miss all most of you.
