Noon-ish
The View. Are they the new "Bad Boys" of the UK scene? They've had a run in or two with "the law" recently. But should we expect that the lead singer is suddenly going to turn into Pete Doherty? I guess for now it's wait-and-see. In the meantime, they just refreshed their Youtube page.

Here's a link to Menomena's dance/performance art soundtrack.

I just played a track by Fujiya & Miyagi and mentioned that they'll be playing for us at SxSW. More info here.

Nicolai Dunger's forthcoming release is titled RĂ–STEN OCH HERREN which roughly translates to THE VOTE AND THE GENTLEMAN according to World Lingo. You can get more info about the disk here.

Just a quick observation - it's tough to pick up the links against the pink background.

I use to work with Mark Mallman at WCCO. I remember when he was starting out and how liked being an overnight editor for the morning show. I also remember him telling me that it worked out well with his gigs around town. He is so talented and really enjoy his music.

You're probably already privy, but those crazy kids of the First Communion Afterparty are also headed for SXSW!

The Menomena soundtrack for the dance troupe is great. I was a little skeptical of the conceptual angle when it first came out (instrumental tracks of the 15 - 20 min variety) but it's solid.
