Hey folks, it's Seel here blogging under Ali's name (can't seem to get the ol' login to work). Sorry I'm so late in checking in with ya from down here in Austin ... but it's been a crazy-wondeful time so far.

It-band of the moment, Peter Bjorn and John, got us off to an absolutely tremendous start this morning. A TON of folks must have battled their hangovers to amble down here at 11am for what was, unsurprisingly, an awesome set -- if anybody had been torn about tearing themselves out of bed to go see a radio broadcast, I'm sure those folks realized the wisdom of their decision by the time the Swedish band started serving up their sweetly wistful brand of of pop to a very receptive crowd, many of those in attendance sitting cross-legged on the floor as if they watched and listened. Then, the power to the building went out. Woo hoo! But our intrepid sound-god Josh was down in the bar's breaker-room and had us back up and running within about two minutes flat. (Wasn't our fault. But hey, by-gones are by-gones). The Swedes were back on the air in no-time and we finished out with two more songs and much hilarious conversation. I can't wait to here it again when we get it up online for ya -- stay tuned for that. More to come!

I heard the fab set by Sondre Lerche on the way home. Very nice interview.

what happened to LP or PL or whomever the Hiphop band that was to be playing about 6ish? Mary started interviewing them, then all of a sudden, dead air, and Of Montreal came on. Didn't get a chance to hear that the kerfuffle was. I'm guessing he was dropping F-Bombs and perhaps being a little persnickety?

Great job so far to all of you. I'm super jealous. And yes, it did snow for all of .25 seconds about 5:30ish. Grr.

For a radio station called "The Current", I swear we've had more power issues surrounding us!

To all my co-people at SXSW, you guys are doing a fantastic job and the broadcast sounds absolutely wonderful!

And yes, it snowed here today. Nothing that accumulated, but as I was being literally slapped in the face by the snow while I was walking, I thought of you all enjoying 80 degrees and gobs and gobs of good music.

Keep it up and I'm looking forward to tomorrow's broadcast. Andrew Bird will be a treat! Oh and RJD2. I'm also looking forward to hearing more about this Jamie T. character. Word is, he beat out Lily Allen for best new solo artist at the Shockwaves nME Awards.

Steve, I was having fun for a while there--imagining you not only blogging under Ali's name, but dressed in a smart pencil skirt and Fluevog pumps with a pretty scarf around your neck.

Jacquie- that's a disturbing image on many levels....

Also, we will be airing the full El-P interview and performance (with a few edits...) after we wrap up the live broadcast here around 6:00.
