Bonde Do Role Hearts InSoc

Posted at 3:15 PM on March 16, 2007 by Ali Lozoff (2 Comments)

So it appears Brazillian popsters Bonde Do Role are huge, HUGE fans of former Minneapolis-based popsters Information Society. Apparently they were big in Brazil. I don't know about Japan, but definitely Brazil. They are on a hunt for the first two InSoc releases, which they cannot find anywhere. Considering InSocs roots in the Twin Cities, chances are good someone in our audience has those in their record collection somewhere. If you're looking to unload them, or know where an extra box or two of them might be laying around, go to the band's MySpace page and let them know. You'll be helping spread pro-American feelings to our friends to the South. And possibly altering the course of Brazillian pop culture for years to come.

Your radio station is vapid and innocuous.
During a war you should make a stand rather you choose to play pop music.
I remember KQ during Vietnam the people had a station to turn to during troubled tmes.
You have no social conscience, you play to the middle of the road of indie rock. Some good hip hop and local favorites who play your chosen gigs.
I hope you're all having fun in Texas..George W. Bush's homeground.
Career kiler you bet.and my pleasure.
I had high hopes for you, being the child of the great MPR.
You're to say the least,a disappointment.

I do appreciate you not censoring me.It's a good sign. You can take criticism ,that's a good omen and I thank you.
When this station first started ,my music was played. And well received.I am forever indebted to you for that.
But then I went off the reservation,(it ws definitely my fault.)I did apologise and recieved no word from the people who I apologized to.
Since then,I have never been played again.
I consider this backlisting and I just can't find it in my heart to forgive or stop fighting for what I believe in.
Again I thank you for not censoring me.I always loved this blog and will support you.But please accept my apologies and judge me for my art not my somewhat cantankerous personality.
I Wish You Good Luck and Please have some compassion to do the right thing.
