A narrative! From Greg Howell of Mankato. "A love story about a tourist to China. He gets his heart broken, eats, and then adopts a child to heal his pain."
1) M. Ward: "Chinese Translation"
2) Biz Markie: "Chinese Food"
3) Devendra Banhart: "Chinese Children"
Man, I could go for an egg roll.

I am at a coffee shop right now and the woman behind the counter has played Peter Bjorn and John "Young Folks" no fewer than four times in a row and counting. Not surprisingly, no one seems to mind.
When the Fog song "Pneumonia" initially came out as a 12" in '02 I remember having never heard any other song like it. I was completely in love with it and had my turntable set on repeat for a good hour or two. It was very much like when Enid in that movie Ghost World falls for that old blues record.
What are some other stick-it-on-repeat-and-pull-off-the-knob tunes that have stuck with you again and again and again?

On a Tuesday night I like to check the new releases of those old formats called cd albums,
just for old times sake. A particularly good batch tonight from;
!!!, Maria Taylor, Albert Hammond Jr. Son Volt, RJD2, Gruff Rhys (a Super Furry Animal)
The Last Town Chorus, The Cinematics and....Arcade Fire.
The reviews seem to be good for Arcade Fire so far, even garnering a full article in the New York Times magazine at the weekend. I'm glad the kneejerk backlash doesn't seem to be happening and we might have another case of indie darlings going mainstrem?!?! Are we changing the stream?! The numbers of mainstream cds being sold is dwindling, but The Shins made it to #2 on Billboard's chart in their first week, so let's try to make 'Neon Bible' #1, wouldn't that be bizarre?!?!
And if you like the exuberant AF sound try another record that was re-issued today ;
'Black Sheep Boy' from Okkervil River, they are going to be down at SXSW and perhaps will get more attention for this record than they did last year when it first came out, it deserves it.
