Arcade Fire "Keep The Car Running"...My favorite song today...

It's my job to basically dig around for the best new music for us to play and feature here at The Current. Doesn't usually feel like work if you catch my drift.... We get sent so much new music and find so many unknown musical jewels out there it seems everyday I've got a new favorite song. Today it's Arcade Fire's "Keep The Car Running" from their forth coming album Neon Bible. That song fills me with an unknown desire to just immediately get up from my desk, leave the building and sprint down the street for absolutely no reason what so ever. As absurd as that sounds, what's your favorite song you've discovered today from listening to The Current?

"Pink Steam" now playing.
I'm not a fan of the 'Jam' type bands, Phish, The Dead, et. al. but if this song were a 20 minute long instrumental, I'd replay it all day, alternating between head phones and cranked on my stereo.

That might be the first time anyone called Sonic Youth a jam band. They'd probably be proud.

Well not today, but "Australia" by The Shins is way up there. I have to start chair dancing whenever it comes on.

I hadn't heard much of Trampled by Turtles which I realize now is a shame, "I'm a Target Too" caught my ear this morning.

The Arcade Fire's "Intervention" is the best song I've heard in years. No exaggeration, either.
