New Music This Week on The Current

Keep your ears peeled this week for new music from Deerhoof, Jesse Sykes, and Fujiya And Miyagi.

Deerhoof has been a long time favorite of mine since I first heard the album "Reveille". I was skeptical of how the new album would sound without guitarist Chris Cohen (Cohen left the group to tour with The Curtains), but they've done it again. "Friend Opportunity" comes out today!

What's your latest discovery on The Current?

Has to be Bon Savants. The Mrs. heard the in-studio w/ Mr. Seel and promptly went out and bought the CD. It's been in heavy rotation at the house ever since. "Between the Moon and the Ocean" has to be one of the most perfect pop songs ever.
