Hot latkes tonight, but music news this morning at The Buffering Stream 12/15

  • Ahmet Ertegun, founder of Atlantic Records, has died. He was a native of Turkey, where he'll be buried.

  • The paperless office: Ross goes nuts with year-end round-ups from local scenesters.

  • Jon rings up Imogen Heap on the blower. She plays First Avenue tonight.

  • The continuing saga of that Velvet Underground acetate: It's back up for auction at eBay.

  • List-O-Mat 2006: The Best of Craig's List 06. This is pretty funny and awesome.

  • And if that doesn't burn up a couple of hours in your cubicle, this new toy will.

Ehmet was a giant. THink of what 20th century music would have been like without Stevie Wonder or Led Zeppelin? Had no idea he was Turkish, that article mentioned his father was Turkish diplomat to the US. that's kinda cool!
