This is the time of year when we put three different groups into heavy rotation on our personal devices: Sigur Rós, Low, and Kid Dakota. Checking in on our favorite S.A.D. melancholics, here's what this stoic bunch is up to:
We're almost done with our new album. In general the songs are shorter, more danceable, and entirely pleasing. Ok, I'm off to drink some coffee and greet the day with a triumphant blast of joy.
Being good Minnesotans, we're a little taken aback at this demonstration of unbridled emotion. Also this: That all sounds not too bad.

I've two for you to add so those poor three groups don't get just plain worn out being so delightfully glum right now.
1. The White Birch: Stunning Nordic music I think quite literally written for cold days. Anyone of Sigur Ros fandom who mates with a person of Low fandom should have a child born into The White Birch fandom.
2. Sanchez is Driven by Demons: More Nordic wonderglum. Almost all music sans singing. Sit down. Don't speak or think you know what is going on. Give them the time to build up they way they need to and they will make it worth your time no later than three-quarters of the way through the first song.
Very good site. Thank you:-)
