Coming Down From Halloween With Ouija Radio

Yesterday while we were raiding the candy stash and splashing fake blood around the place, we hooked up with Ouija Radio, currently on a nationwide tour. In the hopes of getting some REAL horror stories, we wanted to hear how the tour is going. More important we wanted to know how the band spent the holiday--getting in touch with The Departed? Holding a seance?

What are you guys doing for Halloween tonight? Wearing any special costumes? Are you playing a show tonight? It's Halloween and we are in Seattle. Earlier today I watched the kids around here trick or treat. This is kind of cool. I saw a lot of adults without kids walking around the streets in costumes. The kids were mostly trick or treating the businesses but I think the adults just walked the streets for the spirit of the holiday and perhaps for the kids and the kids inside themselves. Tonight we have the night off. We are going to a warehouse party in Tacoma where our friends The Fresh Kills are rocking and DJ's will be spinning. I am going to be Elvira Hancock. She was Tony Montana's coked out wife in Scarface... Charles is going to be Tony Montana and Matt is going to be a drunk pirate. Tomorrow we will play in Boise and it will be the first of almost 2 weeks straight of shows. I hear the passes in the mountains are a bit treacherous right now. It is unseasonably cold out here right now. What's your favorite candy? I adore Peppermint Patties. Charles loves Heath Bars and Matt loves Butterfingers. What's your favorite scary book or movie? I don't really read scary books. I was reading Vampirella and Milk and Cheese comics at one time. The Milk and Cheese 'Dairy Products Gone Bad' were pretty scary. I would have to say the scariest movies for me have been: 1-The First 'Evil Dead' 2-The Dentist 3-Demon Seed 4-Planet Of The Apes(the original) 5-Space Odessey 6-Poltergeist 1 7-Nightmare On Elm Street1 8-Hellraiser 1 9 The Exorcist 10-Nosferatu w/Max Schrek *I would like to add that the orginal broadcast of 'War Of The Worlds' with Orson Wells is terrifying still. I remember hearing it on Halloween when I was a child. It's the same reason I picked 'The Evil Dead' as my number one. There is a lot of silence and then bamo a shrill scream. Silence is spooky and it is all over movies such as '2001 Space Odissey' and 'Planet Of The Apes'. Pumpkins: Carve them, or smash them? Neither, eat them. We love Pumpkin everything. We love going to I-HOP right now for their Pumpkin Pancakes, Dairy Queen for there Pumpkin Pie Blizzard and Starbucks for their Pumpkin Latte and Frappicinos. On the other hand, they say that the creature Jack-O-Lantern was so mean his spirit wasn't allowed into heaven or hell. Which would be the better mashup: TV on the Ouija Radio, or Ouija Radiohead? Those are funny. I like them both but how about TV on the Radiohead and Ouija Radio Birdman? What happens after you die? I don't really know but we can ask the dead. Have you ever traveled out of the country? Yes, when I was 18 we would drive to Canada to drink beer. However, I have my passport and my last two trips to Europe have been postponed. I think it may be put to use within the next year. Have you ever been hospitalized? If so, why? Yes. Once all my joints swelled up and we had no idea what was happening. It was a lot like when the little girl in Willie Wonka turned into a blueberry. I was wheel chaired into the ER where they put me on an IV of steroids to reduce the swelling. The next couple of days they would run many tests like ECG's and stuff and find absolutely nothing. I returned home within 2 days. Have you ever seen a dead body? If so, who? I have seen two at funerals. However, I may have experienced the dead without a body. Have you ever slept on a boat? As a matter of fact I have. This past Labor Day Weekend we all slept on a cabin cruiser on Lake Michigan in the Chicago Harbor. With wine and beers in tow the lake was like black glass in the Chicago Harbor with an awe striking view of the downtown skyline only a football field away. It was fantastic. If you could sleep with any actor or actress, no strings or bad karma attached, who would it be?
Some may think this is creepy but I would want to sleep with someone really 'experienced' and mature. I would have to say Al Pacino because he is the ultimate bachelor still. And Charlize Theron because she is an amazing chameleon of an actress. She impresses me and she is hot, hot, hot!
