In this recent interview, TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek dropped the heavy dime on modern record distribution.
Q: You self-released your first disc, OK Calculator, and pretty much handed it out on the street?A: Yeah. And tucked it in furniture at furniture stores. Which has to be a riot, because we put them in some ugly s---. I can't imagine someone taking this Italian leather couch home and finding this record.
We hear some of TVOR's most enthusiastic New York fans have gone broke buying multiple bedroom sets and modular sofas.
