The alt interweb is awash with photos from the closure of CBGB's this past weekend, and we have a couple of observations:

First, Debby Harry doesn't look a day over, um, thirteen.

Second, the Patti Smith/Men's Warehouse look--you gotta respect someone whose sense of style has not changed in 40 years, but we fear that old suitcoat is just about toast.

Who doesn't like to spend a rainy Monday morning fantasizing about Friday night at First Avenue? Or at least, uh, Thursday afternoon in Seattle...

  • Jam with a tuba player! Don't ask: He cannot play any other brass instruments, not even trombone.

  • Play First Avenue this Friday! "Screamo/metal" bands need not apply.

  • Join the street team of some anonymous UK rock band!

  • Give an academic paper to a roomful of rock critics in Seattle.

  • Apply to be a music editor or ad sales executive (but not both) in Seattle.
