Summer is gone, long live summer. In all the hoopla and Minnesota self-awareness that follows in the wake of the State Fair, no one ever mentions something we think is pretty special: the Walker's Music and Movies in the park. And even though we've been lazy and missed quite a few episodes, we're grateful that Chuck Olson, over at Minnesota Stories, managed to
film Low playing "Silver Rider" a couple weeks ago for the grand finale of summer. As always, Chuck's photography and editing are beautiful. But this time the music is--well, don’t blame your computer or those $20 speakers. Chuck says,
"I tried all kinds of tricks to make it sound better, so perhaps it's best to cue up "Silver Rider" on Low's The Great Destroyer and imagine yourself chillaxin' on a towel in Loring Park."
Elsewhere, on the Instant Gratification Web: The sound of Low in a world where boomers and woofers still exist.
