Happy September to you!
At the top of today's music news: Minneapolis's favorite Brooklyn band... er. Brooklyn's favorite Minneapolis band... Ah, well, let's start over.
The Hold Steady are preparing to launch a "social networking" website called "Boys and Girls in America." The site invites fans to post video confessions about their love lives, apparently in anticipation of the band's new album of the same name (to be released October 3).
So far, only one bold, misguided contributor has uploaded a vaguely disturbing 15-second video titled "My Dog is Hot."
You can follow the links and watch the viddy yourself, or you can take our word for it: A hot dog is preferable to a dog that is hot. If you know what what we mean.
