Joseph Arthur's new record, "Nuclear Daydream," is imminent. We're surprised it's taken this long for the first single to reach Streaming Nation, but here you go.
We're on the record as being huge fans of Joe's, and we have to agree with one Stereogum reader who recently asked, "How do more people not know about this guy?"
Note to more people: Know about this guy! (Start here.)
Update: Scroll the 2005 archives to find Joe's 2005 in-studio at The Current.

I concur. Because Hans' link is broken for the moment, I will just say that anyone interested in Joseph Arthur would do well to listen to any of his last four albums. I enjoy all four of them from start to finish and it's tough for me to pick a favorite. There's the starkness of "Come to Where I'm From," the sprawl of "Redemption's Son," the textured production of "Our Shadows Will Remain," and the pure songcraft of his latest. Each of them has their own vibe, but JA is slowly building a signature sound that makes his work immediately distinctive. If pressed, I'd say "Redemption's Son" is a good place to start, because it has 16 songs and it's a guarantee you'll fall in love with at least 3/4 of them, which is a pretty good ratio. So yes, Joseph Arthur is the real deal. I hope that suffices for the meantime while Hans fixes the link.
Sorry to continue the staff-a-thon here, but I also need to put in a plug for Mr. Arthur's session in our studio. He was wonderful and it was also one of Mary Lucia's personal favorite interviews eh-var. I no linky because I bad at HTML. Hans?
Yep, gotcha Steve: http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/services/the_current/features/2005/instudio_2005.php
We don't have an easy-to-use archive from 2005 in-studios, but you'll find Joseph Arthur when you scroll that page.
Also, not sure why that link was broken, it works every time for me. Anyway, it linked to PRMS and "Come to Where I'm From," my personal fave in the Joe Arthur (ahem) ouvre.
