Mission of Burma, one of those seminal bands of the post-punk era that only managed to record one album, have reunited-- and the results have got many, many people in a positive dither.
But you know, these things don’t happen in a vacuum. When Moby recorded MOB's most famous tune, "That's When I Reach For My Revolver," a couple years ago, we were reminded of one of the great post-punk songs ever pressed on wax. Although the Great White One added nothing (and, to be fair, subtracted nothing--other than tweaking the lyrics in a kinda bizarre way: "That's when I realize it's over...") from the original, we felt we’d rediscovered a sort of personal manifesto. And we don’t even own a gun!
