The September issue of GQ magazine calls the new Guthrie Theater one of the ten most important buildings of the 21st century. So important that they are having trouble booking bands that are equal to the architecture, according to some. (Uh, Bruce Hornsby? Cowboy Junkies? Hmmm.)
We don't feel strongly about it one way or the other. It's not the building structure so much as what's inside. And that is something special: two restaurants and like thirty bars. And if that's not enough for you and your thirsty friends, you can always walk to what Esquire calls America's Greatest Bar.
how about a Kraftwerk performance?
Having trouble? What does that mean? According to whom? We just opened the building at the end of June and we've already opened six plays. Be patient and let us catch our collective breath - concerts will come!
