Field correspondent Dave Kapell writes to report on last night's heartbreaking show at the 331: The Tin Star Sisters take a final bow.
"The Tin Star Sisters flickered brilliantly before disappearing forever from the Nordeastern sky last night, ending their meteoric career just as we were all making the same wish: that Ivy would tell us she was not moving to New York and was, in fact, staying right here at home with her big sister Kim and the rest of her family at the 331, here where she belongs, where she will always belong.Good luck and safe travels, Ivy and Thew; hope to keep seeing you around, Kim. Our hearts are as heavy and bittersweet as the "hippie sugar" cupcakes you served after the show. We all love you... stay gold!"
All we can add is this: If you love something, set it free. If it doesn't come back, go ahead and bawl your eyes out, shake your fist at heaven, and prepare for a long bitter dotage.

They had cupcakes afterwards?
Crap, now I'm sorry I left before they were done!
I never saw them in-person,but I did hear them on the radio performing live on KFAI.
They were quirky, charming, and brimming with personality.
The best of luck to them in the future and may I say'never let a gift horse look you in the mouth, unless it's got plenty of bread'....
