Joseph Arthur's new record, "Nuclear Daydream," is imminent. We're surprised it's taken this long for the first single to reach Streaming Nation, but here you go.

We're on the record as being huge fans of Joe's, and we have to agree with one Stereogum reader who recently asked, "How do more people not know about this guy?"

Note to more people: Know about this guy! (Start here.)

Update: Scroll the 2005 archives to find Joe's 2005 in-studio at The Current.

    Local Self-Love Affirmed!

The September issue of GQ magazine calls the new Guthrie Theater one of the ten most important buildings of the 21st century. So important that they are having trouble booking bands that are equal to the architecture, according to some. (Uh, Bruce Hornsby? Cowboy Junkies? Hmmm.)

We don't feel strongly about it one way or the other. It's not the building structure so much as what's inside. And that is something special: two restaurants and like thirty bars. And if that's not enough for you and your thirsty friends, you can always walk to what Esquire calls America's Greatest Bar.
