It's not clear why the BBC is celebrating "30 years of Punk Rock Insubordination" today—given that throughout this article, they locate the genesis of aforementioned "Punk Rock Insubordination" to the "early seventies."
Also, do you recognize the band in the photo above? If so, email us. The BBC's caption: "Probably the most famous punk group of them all." We feel like idiots, but that is most certainly NOT the Sex Pistols, the Clash, Iggy and the Stooges, nor the Ramones. On the upside, at least they talked to Punk magazine founder John Holmgren, who we feel is the man who coined the name of the movement.
