It's the 65th anniversary of D Day tomorrow and the Parkway Theater in Minneapolis is marking the event with 3pm screenings of "The Longest Day" on Saturday and Sunday. Veterans and people under 15 get in free, and several veterans will be on hand to talk about what happened on that momentous day. Details at the Parkway site.
The Oak Street is back in business and has weekend screenings of the highly respected portrait of a Mexican Mennonite community "Silent Light."

Man with a Movie Camera at the Mounds was a big hit. We had a great Q & A and feedback session after the film on Saturday, and the film itself received an overwhelmingly positive reception. Thanks for your help, Euan, in getting the word out on this film. Look for more hidden masterpieces at the Mounds this summer!
