The summer with all it's weekends away has always been a cinematic challenge for me. There are so many films, and what seems to be fewer evenings to go see them.
This year I have distracted myself by reading dispatches about the Edinburgh International Film Festival which just launched with some fanfare Alan Cumming and Sean Connery.
Sam Medes is there and granted a long interview to the Scotsman newspaper about "Away We Go."
It's fun to see some of the anticipated films have already been here, but also gives a heads up for other films out there. I am intrigued by the new film starring Ewen "Trainspotting" Bremnar and Ardal O'Hanlan called "Wide Open Spaces."
The weekends are looking full, but there will always be time for reading
