Lots of choice this week: the new Pixar hits the screen, the first product of Mexican powerhouse producers Cha Cha Cha, an Iranian gem, the new Atom Egoyan film, and a Spidey director returns to his horror roots.

Bob Mondello reviewed 'Departures" and said it opened this weekend. I live 5 hrs. south of Minneapolis but will be in the area next weekend. Is it showing in town and if so where? (and yes, I'm a sustaining member). thanks.

I understand that Departures will open in the Twin Cities on June 12th at the Edina. Sadly it doesn't look like it will match up with your visit (unless you are coming back the next weekend.) I have a feeling it will be around for at least a couple of weeks too, although the art house films do seem to have limited runs, even with an Oscar win.
