The Minneapolis-based Playwrights Center is trying to come up with a new solution to an old problem: how to spread the word about new plays.
The answer? Trailers, just like at the movies, but designed to encourage theater companies around the country to take a look at scripts for new plays.
The first three are up at the Playwrights Center website, including for "Raskol" currently being produced by Ten Thousand Things Theater Company. The Center is also eager for feedback, so there is a survey on the page too.
