There were a couple of juicy movie journalism tidbits over the weekend. Check out Liane Hansen's interview with Best Actor Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins, the quiet candidate from "The Visitor" from Weekend Edition Sunday.

And also take a glance at Rachel Donadio's piece in the Sunday New York Times on the making of "Gomorrah," which did well on the European festival circuit, but has been shut out at the Oscars. It's interesting reading.

And just one more: the British take on the award season, the BAFTAS.
