I must admit to having admired the large Hulk statue that's towered over the lobby of the AMC Southdale for the last few weeks. The other night I saw at least one family jump the velvet rope to get a group shot with the angry green one, so I'm not alone.
Thus the news that someone in Lowell, Mass. made off with another one of the statues bolted to a platform on the sidewalk outside a movie theater is no huge surprise. The thieves didn't get it all. The bolts were stronger than the Hulk ankles so the feet stayed in place.
The AP report the local police think it's now in some kid's bedroom. But what if it isn't?
What if it's been pinched by those people who take garden gnomes from people's gardens and then travel around the world, sending back snapshots of the gnome in exotic places? Granted an Incredible Hulk will take a little more maneuvering, but we have to have confidence in the ingenuity of the youth of America.
So snaps of Mr. Banner's alter-ego at Mount Rushmore? And the Grand Canyon, of course, and there would have to be at least one near a nuke facility.
