The Screenwriters Workshop is trying something new this summer: a screenwriting smackdown.
It's running "Leave 'em hooked" where professional actors will read the first 15 pages of five feature film scripts before an audience. The audience will vote on the script they would most like to see. The top vote-getter takes a $100 prize.
"Leave 'em hooked" runs July 21st at Comedysportz in Calhoun Square in Minneapolis. However the deadline to enter a script is coming up fast - June 1st. Details are available at the Screenwriters site as is the entry form.
