Random thoughts: Clooney, "Superhero," and Hulk
Posted at 6:54 PM on April 8, 2008
Clooney: George Clooney turned up at 10 Downing Street today to talk about Darfur with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. One week Duluth, two weeks later London. Do you think he told Gordon about his trip to the Twin Ports?
"Superhero movie": OK, I'll admit it. I went to see "Superhero Movie" and laughed so hard in places I couldn't breathe. I see it as a form of regression therapy, going back to teenagerhood. What made it an even more extraordinary event was an usher acturally came in and told some noisey kids to pipe down. Now that was something I hadn't seen in years!
The Hulk: I need to do some research, but even as I was intrigued to see the trailer for "The Incredible Hulk" coming out this summer, starring, as it does Edward Norton, Tim Roth and Liv Tyler, I couldn't help remembering that Ang Lee just did his Hulk in 2003. So I went to look for it on IMDB and found the link to the Ang Lee film site sends you to the new movie. Now some people didn't like the old Hulk, but that does seem a little extreme..
