Augmenting an exhibition: Frida!

I took my own advice and finally got a hold of a copy of Julie Taymor's "Frida." It's an entertaining film, and intriguing in how Taymor uses many of the Frida Kahlo images which are featured in the Walker Art Center's show (which closes at 9pm tonight.)

It's not surprising perhaps, given that the film is based on the Kahlo biography by Hayden Herrera who is co-curator of the Walker presentation. I suppose it makes sense to read the book now and complete the trifecta.
