Local fun

How great to see local talent featured in the New York Times over the weekend. Twin Cities veteran David Carr (formerly of the Twin Cities Reader) profiled former CityPages writer/blogger Diablo Cody and the Oscar buzz around her screenplay for "Juno." It was also great to see Rob Nelson and Michael Tortorello (also both former CityPages) quotes in the piece.
Also if you are looking for some film fun this week check out the DVD release screening for Melody Gilbert's documentary "Urban Explorers." It's this Thursday at 7pm at the Riverview in Minneapolis, with a party to follow. (You shoulf also check out the feature we did on it a while back.)
