The most wonderful time of the year (to watch movies in a theater.)

Here's a secret which some of us have enjoyed for years. Christmas Eve is one of the best times to go see a movie. (New Year's Eve works pretty well too.)

With everyone preparing for the holiday, even the lines at the new blockbusters are thin-to-non-existent. In recent years I have enjoyed watching the latest hits in basically an empty theater. This is true even of the early shows.

If you go, remember to wish the theater staff happy holidays too, because they are probably not that keen to be there either.
