Well, it seems that different people are taking different things from the decision to move the dates of the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Kaleem Aftab of the Independent has a much more cynical view of the plan.

It's rare that I get really excited over a trailer, but I was delighted to see "Feast of Love" getting plugged over the weekend. It's the adaptation of the novel of the same name by Twin Cities-based writer Charles Baxter. If you haven't read it, it's well worth picking up. He's created not a love triangle, so much as a love polyhedron. Baxter examines the lives and loves of a group of people in Ann Arbor, who are all looking for that elusive special person
with whom to spend their lives. It's funny, and poignant, and deeply satisfying as a read.
The movie (strangely set now in Oregon) is due out in late September.
I caught the trailer at "Death at a Funeral" which was the funniest grown-up film I have seen in quite some time. It's simply another twist on the British farce, but somehow the twists that director Frank Oz adds take this very dark comedy to new heights.

Apparently "Eloquent Nude" is quite a hit with Minnesota audiences. Associate Producer Julie Gliniany dropped me a note to say over 1500 people attended the screenings at the MIA and the Riverview over the weekend.
As a result the Riverview has added a few more screenings. There's a 5.30 on Wednesday, then an entire week of 5.30 screenings from Friday August 24th until Thursday August 30th. There are also noon screenings on Saturday and Sunday. What's more the ticket price reverts to the Riverview standard $2.
