With the sad news about the passing of Michelangelo Antonioni you can't help but wonder if there are a number of aging film directors about feeling nervous.
I must admit that I have yet to explore his films. My school's student union showed "Zabriskie Point" at 2am as part of it's annual all night dance party. I remember that screening most for having to stop a punch-up between a bouncer and a friend of mine. My pal had been punched in the dark by another guy who quietly sat down to see what would then happen. It was not the best time to appreciate what was happening on the screen.
The Scottish cinema crowds can be rough.
