SiCKO release moved up:Such has been the early fuss over "SiCKO" Michael Moore's film on the state of the healthcare industry, the film is opening Friday, a week early, in New York. The film opens here in Minnesota on June 29th.
Solstice Festival schedule: It's been keeping a pretty low profile, but the Solstice Film Festival launches tomorrow with a mixture of movie delights, including an appearance from Daniel Myrick, one of the directors of "The Blair Witch Project." He'll introduce the world premier of his new flick "Believers" which is unabashedly going straight to video, so this will be one of the few chances you'll have to see it in a theater. The schedule also includes a screening of "The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters" about the folk who vie to be the best "Donkey Kong" players in the world. You can find the Solstice schedule here. Myrick and his star Johnny Messner will come by MPR tomorrow along with Solstice Film Festival director Devin Halden.
