The event is aimed at raising awareness of Tibet, both politically and spiritually. Ten firms will be shown in all, most of them documentaries.
The event opens Thursday evening with "Daughters of Everest," a documentary about the first all female sherpa expedition to the summit of Mount Everest. The screening will be introduced by explorer Ann Bancroft.
I chatted with festival co-director Cortland Dahl about what else is on offer at the event, and you can listen to it here.
