It was fascinating to see the highest grossing movie in the nation pulled in less than $10 million over the weekend. And "Disturbia" has been in theaters for three weeks too. Not the lowest weekend take of all time, but one of the lowest in the last few years.
Now the weather was good over the weekend, and this could just be the tide going out before the Spiderman 3 tide comes rolling in next weekend, but still there must be some people sweating in Hollywood.
Me? I was able to take in "The Great Match" at the MSPIFF. It was a blast. Blowpipes, camels, canoes, and soccer all rolled into one movie. What more could a guy want? (OK, I'll admit to a strange melding of tastes, but it is still a lot of fun.)
