Drilling for daffodils

Posted at 8:54 AM on November 15, 2006 by Preston Wright (1 Comments)

...and now back to gardening.

Hey, I am just like everyone else this time of year being distracted by elections, cold weather, a new position at MPR, and then suddenly realizing my daffodils and other bulbs are just sitting there in my garage. and it's mid-November.

I needed a tool to get the holes dug quickly and I think I found one.

Drill bits

So into the compacted soil of the lawn and through tree roots, I managed to get 50 holes drilled before the battery ran out on the drill. Wow, that was a lot faster and less labor intensive than last year.

I could do a bunch more! All the bulbs are on sale now, 75% off!

The garden "bug" is back! Watch out!

I went nuts last week, upon finding a 50% off sale on bulbs. They're up to 75 you say? Hmmm.... Though I'm still digging by hand, after planting about 100 that way, I'm open to alternatives.
