Home again, home again, jiggity-jig

Yes, I did make it back to Minnesota. I took a lot of photos and did some writing, but then encountered some very slow internet connections. Rather than post dated content, I will be using some of the photos and ideas in future postings in the coming weeks.

The first thing that I noticed yesterday in Minnesota is that everything is really green, now. It is amazing this time of year how much plants and trees can change in just one week. I completely missed my crabapple tree flowering, but made it back in time to walk through its carpet of pink petals. My grapes are flowering, lilac aroma is everywhere, and the grass actually needs cutting. Looks like we won't get a frost again this year (I've always been told to wait until May 15 before pronouncing this, but there is nothing in the forecast to predict one.)
