What's blooming now?

From my garden this morning:

fritillaria_michailowskyi.jpg

Fritillaria michailowskyi. Very dainty, yet colorful.

strawberry.jpg

Alpine strawberry (Fragaria vesca). I brought these back from Alaska about 6 years ago and they are still growing strong. Far superior in flavor than what your supermarket offers.

inside_peony_tulip.jpg

Peony flowering tulip (Tulipa "Monte Carlo"). Looks like whipped butter.

rock_iris.jpg

Rockgarden iris (Iris reticulata). Really blooming well this year, perhaps because of the mild winter. My solitary patch has a good 20 blooms open.

white_lilac2.jpg

White lilac (Syringa vulgaris) One more week and we will be smelling these everywhere.
