Minnesota rolls out highway projects paid for with stimulus money

State officials today unveiled 60 transportation projects for greater Minnesota that will be paid for with money from the federal stimulus package.
The projects run as small as $66,000 for signal replacement in Bemidji to $18 million to fix up parts of state Highway 53 north of Duluth. Total estimated cost of the projects: $180 million.
Federal officials expect greater Minnesota projects to create about 5,000 jobs, Gov. Tim Pawlenty said this morning. A list of Twin Cities area projected paid for with stimulus dollars is expected in March.
