Haiti is the international relief effort on everyone's mind these days. But for a long time that position was held by Darfur. Celebrities, aid organizations and coalitions of activists gathered around this region in Sudan, Africa calling for action.
Rob Crilly is a freelance reporter who knows a thing or two about Africa. He's covered wars and crises all over the continent and he decided to take a closer look at what was happening in Darfur. He turned his findings into a book, Saving Darfur: Everybody's Favorite African War. In The Loop called up Rob Crilly to hear how the situation in that area has played out and what the relief effort in Haiti can learn from it.
