No Olympics for Chicago, but Cleveland lands the Gay Games

Chicago may be home licking it's wounds after being voted out of the running for the 2016 Olympics. But forget Chicago, another Mid-west city scored a major athletic event last week: Cleveland, Ohio will be hosting the 2014 Gay Games.

I know what you are thinking . . . Cleveland? Gay culture? Not exactly an obvious match. But the committee behind the bid says that's exactly the point. In The Loop spoke with Michael Murphy, a member of Cleveland Synergy Foundation, the group who made the bid to bring the Gay Games to Ohio. Hear why Cleveland beat out Boston and D.C. and find out what the Gay Games are all about.
