Chicago may be home licking it's wounds after being voted out of the running for the 2016 Olympics. But forget Chicago, another Mid-west city scored a major athletic event last week: Cleveland, Ohio will be hosting the 2014 Gay Games.
I know what you are thinking . . . Cleveland? Gay culture? Not exactly an obvious match. But the committee behind the bid says that's exactly the point. In The Loop spoke with Michael Murphy, a member of Cleveland Synergy Foundation, the group who made the bid to bring the Gay Games to Ohio.
