Blues Traveler + North Korea = "The Nuke"

Posted at 2:05 PM on June 8, 2009 by Sanden Totten

Wow. A killer North Korea nukes parody written and performed by two Loopsters from Fergus Falls, MN. Jessica Sundheim wrote the lyrics and Joy Ohlsen provides the vocals. They riff on the Blues Traveler song "Hook" turning it into "Nuke" and having a lot of fun in the process. Check it out:

Here is a version of the lyrics, as Jessica posted them on our Facebook page:

Make a desperate move or else you'll win
and then begin to see what you're doin to me
This Pepsi is not for free... Read More
Sanction is killing Ngyi
So desperately I threaten thee
with Bombs!
Sure but also rage and hate and pain
and fear of self
I can't keep these A bombs on the shelf
I've tried or no in fact I've lied
it'd be financial suicide
But I've lied I've too much pride inside to hide
So I'll be snide, and I'll do as I decide
and let my people will die until I die, and
only then will you abide this tide
of nuke testing bafoons, of fifteen minute treaties
I want to be in your cartoons
I want to turn axis of evil into ground round
I've found I will not mess around unless I play
But hey I only had a prayer to pray
That's really all this was
When I'm feeling stuck and need a buck I won't rely on luck
because the nuke brings you ba a ack
I ain't tellin you no li ies
The nu uuke ohoho
On that I can relyyyyyeyy
